There is no God, well not in the sense that religion explains him. God is no grayed hair being in the sky, God is more like energy and the consciousness that makes up the Universes. God is karma, a higher consciousness,etc and bind all things in the Univers. As for what it does all day, i'm guessing create and operate in a cyclical way seeing how everything in the Universe goes in a cycle.

Here's something better: Energy has never been demonstrated to have any sort of consciousness, nor has the universe on the whole. God doesn't exist in any way and people just wish he did because it's something mysterious their parents told them when they were kids.
