Yes and only because they are telling Jrue to attack when he gets the ball. The offense is motion so I see Rondo feeding the whole time. He will have to make them pay from three. This team will have to show they can make teams pay for sagging the Defense.

Here is my prediction,

Memphis will be emotional and in sync in the season opener, edging us out 87-83 final. The Pelicans has not given me any indication that they are able to defend well, nor pass the ball without Rondo. Hope I'm wrong. Still got us being a dominate team once Rondo and the new guys mesh well.

So Jrue was the killer last night. If he hits his average points production then that is a win.

This team can hold serve in the beginning without Rondo but not without the big 3. AD and Boogie will eat. Jrue and two more bench people have to eat too. Preferably Ian Clark and Etwuan Moore. All they need to contribute is 10 points each. That is 25 points per night from AD and Boogie. 15 from Jrue. 10 points from Ian Clark and Etwuan Moore. After that the other guys and contribute the next 25 points. All of this is within the scoring averages of all the players on the roster.

The Defense is there. So that is not a real concern to me.

I saw a play where Jrue forced the ball to Cousin while the defender was fronting him and pushing him under the goal. At that point, pass the ball around the perimeter to the back side and have Boogie reposition himself.

D. Miller pissed me off b/c again, he reverted back to his early pelican days. ONE FGA?!?! and his defense was ASS. Got lost on several assignments.

I.Clark came out aggressive early, then just kinda faded

E.Moore, if he's asked to do anything besides catch and shoot, its gonna end in a turnover

As well as Boogie played, he had several mental lapses making stupid cross court passes, and not finding the open man once he started penetrating and the defense collapsed.

Jrue gotta be aggressive. I know he wanna move w/o the ball, but he need to dribble with a purpose.

I think AD was just forcing the issue last night. He played a very uncharacteristic game. He channeled his inner Lamarcus Aldridge and was just settling for jumpers.
