So your saying that at this point, its actually smarter to go to court (which i had no intention off) instead of just showing up, paying the ticket and bouncing?

DO NOT try to pay the ticket the day of the court date and leave. It's not in the system before hand and it won't show that you paid it before it comes across the judge. You goin be issued a warrant for a funky ass speeding ticket. You have to appear before the judge since you didn't pay it by today. In Georgia, they do reduce the fine most of the time but it aint no guarentee depending on what state you in. But make show yo black ass show up to court. It's not goin be a problem as long as you show up. it's just a ticket.

Look on your ticket in the fine print, some states let you send the money to the court and you do not have to appear. Just read everythimg on the ticket, also try calling the court you need to appear at they may tell you the same thing.

If you look on your citation you'll see a box checked that lets you know whether you can pay your fine OR appear in court on the specified date. If there's no check by the option to pay your fine, then you must appear. If not you can go to the clerk's window and pay it, but I'd advise you to still go before the judge so he/she can see your printout and close the case. Also you may be able to get the fine drastically reduced if you go before the judge. They do that out here in Cali, don't know where you're from though.

You gotta mail it off x amount of number of days before your court date. It'd arrive too late.
