Fela Kuti and Tony Allen are african musicians, that have been sampled by such artists like Nas(warrior song ft Alicia Keys) Common(heat, ) and Commons song dedicated to Fela "Time Travelin' (A Tribute To Fela)" there is currently a broadway show on fela that jay-Z and Will Smith are looking to be involved with, and his style has infleunced such artists such as D'angelo Raphael SSadiq etc.

Tony Allen on the other hand is the drummer behind alot of Felas work and is quite frankly one of the greatest drummers of all time.

Lyden David Hall is a british soul singer similar to D'Angelo, sadly he passed away last year i think.
