this thread is gay, why do you care about what men are wearing are you a female?

your a gay cunt for thinking that... im talking about which era produced the best music, and had the most positive influence on their generation...

Co-sign it was the video era, when rappers spent money on videos, fans still bought CDs, the fans where real, baggy jeans, tees, tims, forces, the music was dope, nthat's I'm talking bout productive music.... People still bought magazines like The Source and XXL...

i grew up in the wrong era for hip hop concerts. i wish i could have seen some of the epic tours going on in the 90s granted i was born in 1990 but way too young to be going to shows like that.

Back in the day tickets were cheaper and there was more showmanship. Now you pay hundreds of dollars for these festivals and niggas can't put on a show and they only do so many songs. Outside of a few new school cats these concerts ive gone to been wack as fuck. but when i hear niggas talk about the puff daddy and the family tour it sounds hella better than most these shows nowadays.

True that because you need skills back then, no MySpace rappes back around, you need charisma and showmanship to be A rapper...

The Shiny Suit Era was basically from 96 to 99....it wasn't necessarily about the way of dress but the type of music....the happy go lucky...poppin bottles....expensive videos....club scenes etc. it was just called the Shiny Suit Era because this really began in a major way with Bad Boy records and Bad Boy Videos from about 96 to 2002 all his artists wore shiny suits in videos...

Diddy had a skit on the Bad Boy family album that dopped in 2002/2003 explaining what the Shiny Suit was for people who didn't understand it

Completely agree there was no myspace youtube etc. like you said. Also the star power of a rapper across demographics and pop culture is allot bigger. So people will pay not for quality of show but intimacy with an artist or closeness with an artist.
