ay i fucks wit Paul Wall but lupe did murk that beat tho....damn....never heard that one before

Slum Village - The Look of Love

Dilla did his usual great job with the beat but the lyrics were horrendous.

"Take this dick, to the tip, get a lick, tell a bitch, that S is the shit, so eat a dick."

Really?

Rick Ross shameless why oh why didn't hov or Nas or the lox get that.

Moment for life they should've let drake have that.

Any beat Premier gave to Group Home

I came in to say Group Home wins this thread with this album...

...but at the same time i feel bad because even though they weren't worthy, the album still worked somehow as a whole.

Dom Kennedy dream to me. If a lyrical rapper had that beat, that would be song of the century.

Fab might have a classic if he lets Dom Kennedy pick the beats and arrange the choruses for him.

This beat is sick and would have been better without Shawty Lo on it

This could have been better with Boosie and Webbie on it imo

This just did not feel like a Lil Wayne song to me, I thought it was weird but the beat and Babyface on it was dope

This could have been better with Common or Jay-Z on it imo

Kanye on Swagger Like Us

"How it feel to wake up to be the shit and the urine."

"I'm Christopher Columbus, y'all just the pilgrims."

...bruh, I don't give a fuck if he produced it or not.

Ja Rule owns this thread. He had the perfect, beats that industry cats were feeling at the time. But lyrically he wasn't the greatest rapper. He was a good songwriter and came up with catchy hooks but I can think of a lot of underground rappers that would have sounded better over those beats (i.e. Mos Def)
