i say let them all in... hitting a baseball is more about hand-eye coordination and knowing how to read pitches than muscles. mcgwire and a whole host of players were your typical power hitters who don't hit for average and struck out a lot. bonds on the other hand wasn't only a power hitter and only had that one season where he led the league in homers.
hands down barry is one of the greatest players ever. If he's not in the HOF, then there is no HOF. Same with Roger Clemens and Manny Ramirez. Steroid helped Sosa, McGwire and Rafael Palmero IMO and they shouldnt be in the HOF
HOF voters are bitches. I hate how they won't vote someone in the first year off of principle. If a player is a hof he should get in. Rickey Henderson and Cal couldn't even get 100 percent.
Anways baseball is pretty much a non-issue these days. Its boring to watch, records are tainted, and theres no salary cap. I mean will anyone even remember outside of NY who won the world series this year. In fact, I did not even remember who won it until I thought about it after viewing this thread. Mcgwire was injury prone and played no defense. He was using roids since the 80's with Conseco. Barry was a Hall of Famer by 95 or 96. they will be hypocrites and pick and choose. Arod will get in as will Manny and Clemens. They will never release the names on the list nor guys who were positive in the 90's. guys like Palmeiro, Mcgwire, Bonds, and Sosa (who never tested positive) will get scapegoated
Bonds had On base %'s of .609.,582,529 thats crazy literally 60% or half of the time he came to the plate he got on base thats unheard of in baseball.
His attitude will hurt him but cant deny what he did.Those last 3 mvp's seasons he had after the steroid testin was in effect(02-04) are enough thats 6 mvp's with no steroids
