Playing AC2 right now. Definitely better than the first. First one got very repetitive and had a bad ending (which we now know was a set up for part 2, so you definitely need to play AC1 first). But the final boss battle in AC1 was a huge surprise (not going to ruin it for anyone that hasn't played it).

AC2 is really good - GOTY contender.

yea ac2 is my shit i like how they incorporated things from ac1 and the puzzles into the story... a huge step up

AC2 is way better than the first one. But the first one was str8. I couldnt put AC1 down though when I first got it because it was the first game I had on my PS3. I was playing that shit in HD and it was the best looking game I ever played. But AC2 is way better than the first. They have way more stuff for you to do. Probably play it again in a few months.

That was one of the surprise games of 2009..........you need to give it a try.

I have a dilemma here...so I copped AC2 but my boy let me hold onto Part 1....

Question: Should I just read up on part 1 and skip to part 2? Because A. I heard part 1 is dumb long B. I heard its not that good.

people have already said in this thread that you need to play ac1 ffirst, and commented on other comparisons etc....

i think you might aswell giv it a try n see....i hate playing sequels b4 original....

Play Part 1 first. Yes, it gets very repetitive but AC2 is a direct continuation of AC1. Where AC1 ends, AC2 begins. Plus in AC2 there are lots of references to AC1.

Beware, Part 1 gets EXTREMELY repetitive (as already stated). But you should play it if not to just get familiar with the controls the jumping, climbing, swinging movements and shit.

I think its better to play thru AC1 to understand the story and the past references. Especially since AC3 will be a continuation of the ongoing saga.

i think i see why ppl call this game repetitive n what not, the game obviously goes over most peoples heads...

its more than a game, its more of a pilgrimage...with all due respect i think majority of gamers and posters in the arcade are heathens and outright ignorant and obviously dont udnerstand the religious and historical significance this game holds.

they throw you right in teh middle of the thrid crusade, in citties damascus, acre and jerusalem...i mean...i dont know any other game that you could play that puts you in the middles east, int he middle ages.... in the middle of 1 of the most significant times in our history and allow to roam free in cities such as jerusalem and all at the same time giving u an amazing storyline that unravels nicely peice by peice, not to mention the modern day aspect of the game...

the gfx, stortyline are all great,a ndf the fighting and platforming aspects are amazing...the game lacks slihghtly in depth,, for example being able to interact more freely in cities and with their residents would be better...but thats ok.

all in all AC1 is alot better than i thought it would be, n pretty damn good so far.

to call it repetitive is to be ignorant.
