I wouldn't say Rock is what it was at all... some of the sub-genres are still strong but that's about it. Sometimes it just needs one of the big bands to come back with an album to give it a boost.

No doubt it'll continue to sell though; I just don't think the quality's there compared with before. Oh well

all the genres except country has been invaded by this euro pop/electronic sounding music. Music is general is extremely monotonous!

most of those groups are indy . So unless you really into the indie music scene your not going to hear about them .
