Sadly quite a few are.

It's even more disturbing that some women watch this television show, emulate it and completely forget that it is just that: a show. SMH.

And they try to do the same crap they see on basketball wives & Housewives of [enter city here]

I agree, her relationship with Aiden turned me off to her. But, she was just lost. I don't think she was a manipulative, golddigging, selfish c**t (aside from her cheating with Big). I just don't get the anger..... I don't find her to be as offensive as some people do. She f**ked up- true. And she's definitely not a role model that women should be trying to live through.

I just find it funny that people will say things like "well at least Samantha was honest and upfront about hers" knowing damn well that same honesty will get turned around and used against her in a heartbeat.

She wasn't a manipulative selfish cunt? gold digging? NO. but she was definitely selfish and manipulative. She told her fiance that he had to accept the man that she cheated with as her friend. Even if a man is a pushover, NO ONE with a heart would ever even proposition some shit like that. Come on now.

I like that Samantha kept it real. She just looked foolish in the last movie. When you 25, you can be like that and still be sexy. It's not a good look when you 55, reached menopause and still trying to run around like you the hot chick. She left Jerrod for the most retarded reason.

Samantha didn't care though, and neither do the Women I know who act like her. You can't hurt someone with judgements when they have no morals to begin with...lol.

I think Samantha had plenty of morals. She was upfront with what she wanted. When she wanted a relationship, she was upfront about that too. she didn't play games (except for once with Smith). Other than that, she never wavered. I hated the lawyer bitch(can't even remember her name. She was a cunt to her husband too. I was mad when they got married. She deserved to be alone and miserable.

Aidan never had a chance. Carpenter. lame. Rich Wall Street banker from high society. exciting.

Every woman in America is waiting on their "Mr. Big". Fucked up but, it is what it is.

No, I agree. And I like Samantha on the show, don't get me wrong. I just don't see how between her and Carrie, Carrie is the hoe and Samantha gets more respect (as far as the discussion in this thread) because she's honest about it.....?

Whatever- I agree with Haute, maybe everyone is reading too much into the show. Most men just dont like women in general, so we cant win for losing

Miranda. Always got the feeling, she never really loved Steve...like she settled for him.

Yeah, I think Steve deserved way better. I felt bad for him throughout the show. Talk about treating people like shit..... she owns that.

Real Shit^^^lol

Yeah, it's just a show..lol.. But it is representative of a lot of real Women because I know, "Carries", "charlottes" and even a few samantas too! I think that's why the appeal was so universal, a lot of Women could relate to those characters and their life situations.

I'm baffled at how carrie is called a whore as well....over samantha? Come on now?!?!

Everyone has their own definitions of whore/hoe/slut. If a woman just wants some dick and likes dick, have at it, b. But when a woman looks for a dick as a way to fill a void that she has emotionally. That's a sign of a much deeper problem, and that's the type of bitch I would never touch.

I guarantee if they did a SATC sequel in a decade Big and Carrie would be divorced. Her problems weren't Big, cuz she couldn't keep a man before him. Her problem was her. I didn't watch the second movie, so I didn't know samantha dumped Smith, but I think she was the one that deserved to be happiest, then Charlotte. Fuck Miranda and Carrie.

I watched all six seasons when my cousin left them here. I fuckin' hated Carrie with every fiber of my being. Samantha was the realest of all of 'em. I'd wife her up in a heartbeat.

Fuck Carrie, fuckin' cunt. After the way she did Aidan and then got mad at him for not getting over it fast enough? I was like "yo, what planet is this bitch living on?"

Yeah, how she did Aiden had me heated yo. smh at real life hoes doin the good guys like that, then being shocked when it didnt turn out well for them.

Life aint a tv show.

lmao

chicks don't understand is things like that will make a man pull a murder suicide

although I still prefer SATC over the new aged romantic comedies

movies like FWB and No Strings are making silly bitches think casual no committed sex will nab you "the one"

shit like never ends well

He was well off but Big was a Powerful, Corporate millionaire, as well as an alpha male. Aiden was just too weak for Carrie.

That doesn't make sense though. After they started dating, she always tried to pussify him. Please don't tell me that women don't grow out of that, cuz I honestly don't think i could deal with it.

My last girlfriend said she was attracted to my arrogance/confidence and all the things that came with it, and then once we started dating tried to make me "more humble" that shit is fuckin' stupid to me. If you want a humbler nigga, why don't you start with a humble nigga like the amazing furniture artist(which is what he really was), or the amazing artist who was rich and distinguished. That bitch was 40 and didn't know what the fuck she wanted. FORTY!!! How you forty with no direction in life?

Girlfriends was wack and cliched.
The one thing I appreciated about Sex and the City was that it was very contemporary and it was almost like a satire of society as a whole. It's a really well written show(in the beginning seasons anyways).

I know I"m gonna be raked over the coals for this, but would it kill producers to have a show about black women that wasn't all the fuckin' same? I mean it, ALLL the fuckin' same. Take girlfriends set it in Atlanta and you have Single Ladies.

Single Ladies is basically the Game with more hoe shit. It's sad.
