I am a huge Nas fan but I didn't really see it as Jay getting murdered

I thought both of them went in but I do believe that Em was a little better but it wasn't that bad

I really liked some Jay's line's on that song and never understood how anybody could say he was wack on that song.

I think the main reason why Em's verses stuck out was because before that alot of Black fans didn't think that he could spit like that with the big dogs and he showed and proved so that is the main reason why I think people jumped all on Em's dick cause they probably didn't know he could spit like that. People thought he was pop and on that Real Slim Shady stuff, and that song showed people when he wants he can go with

anybody.

I will say that with all that being said I did find it weird that Jay never did a video cause that would have been an alltime great, I have to think that maybe he didn't want to give Em that shine or something. Any logical reason to not make a video for that song ? The people pretty much turned it into a single

That holds some truth. I was saying it long before Ether came out, and I heard mad people saying it too. I know you would come in here you the stereotypical "everything from the east coast is naturally better" type of dumb fucks that hold HIP-HOP back as a culture as much as the white kids who never lived none of that stuff, and rappers who never have done what they rap about.

Lyrically, it's about even, but Em's flow and energy is what really put his verses over the top.

I agree but people would have still gone back and said that it was some of Em's best work ever, don't think they would have went back saying the same for Jay. Jay had better verses on that same Album

From a technical standpoint, I agree, but from the content standpoint, they were about even.

I hope ya'll know that Em's verse on Renegade was previously recorded waaaay before Jay dropped his. The original recording had Royce 5'9 featured and his verse was basically replaced with Mr. Knowles verse. But even with Jay having a fresher verse which was still dope by the way, Em still murdered it.

I feel you but I am not sure that at that time people would have said Em was on a level with Jay, I can say that I didn't miss with Em's first album and I got on late to the MMLP cause that Real Slim Shady drove me crazy. Em first came on my radar as a great rapper on the Way I am but I still don't know if I ever put him on a level with Jay until I heard it with my own ears on Renegade. That was a big moment for Em in my opinion cause it wasn't about the fact that he just couldn't spit but alot of people thought he was corny and he showed alot there to be on a track with Jay as far as subject matter, it just came off harder than alot of his stuff before.

Naw bro you speaking for yourself on that one bro most people I knew knew Eminem was nasty since SSLP, and MMLP that is your fault for sleeping. The original song is with Royce Da 5'9 Jay already had Em verses, and could not top it. I liked Jay's verses tho.

Yh fam...As the guy said...from a technical point...Em got him...But content wise is was about equal...I think Em had the slightly better verses...Although Jay's verse were more vivid
