I've always wondered how some guys get drafted into the NBA and only play during a blowout, sometimes not even then and sometimes not even at all. Just filling up a bench spot, never been able to figure this one out

Coaches have a rotation that they generally like to stick too, Some of these players arent ready, they may have situation strengths/weaknesses, they really dont fit the system..I mean you see this through all level of sports Highschool, Colllege no matter the sport.. Shit or some coaches dont like rookies...Ala Phil.. as far as the NBA

Cant have much continuity with 12 player playing.

which goes to show you how truly depressing the level of talent is in the NBA when nobody has a roster full of 12 starter quality guys. You can't get 12 ppl that can play???

That's sad when most teams how only 5 good players. WTF. 5. You telling me out of all the high school basketball players, the college ball players and the NBDL you can only find 5 good players. Sad........

I dont really think its that explicitly though.. I dont think 12 player rotations ever were the norm..Also it would be interesting to see someone try that and see what type of success they have.. i think in lower levels.. of sport its more even.. thats just the way it is...i presume.. It suppose it comes down to trust.. and well like i said its like that through most level right.. theres always a couple of dudes that "are nasty" however they just cant break the glass ceiling so to speak for... whatever reason

Yeah they were never the norm, but every other sport has found ways to fill their rosters with talent (if that makes sense). For example, the evolution of sports has expanded rosters. But it seems like with basketball, roster expansion was only a result of union forces.

Maybe it's just my vendetta against basketball as a whole. But I don't get how an entire sub category of a sport (college basketball) is rather insignificant to its professional counterpart.

You and me both its pretty wierd .. I think alot of the most talented players don't even make it on the team or out of higschool.. But even besides that there so many Ballers in the states you wouldnt think that.. kids leaving early or what have you would have the impact on the quality of the game. Idk i think it has to do with the style of play and just the fact that "talent" is skewed because there are 10000 college teams.(Exaggeration for the slow people) And coaches like in the NBA ranks have there philophies.. every number 1 player in the county.. state is a dime a dozen..

IDK it is rather strange something i never understood how seemingly a handfull of players(in the not so far past, just before they stopped the 1 and done) could have a titanic impact on the game.. theres 100000 teams/...... ahhh fuck it .

ya tryna make it sound simple, of course all of em can ball...but the NBA is the best of the best (at least thats what its supposed to be right?) so of course some people stand out more than others and some people are much better than the competition.
