the only movies that have been exclsuively put out by marvel have been the iron mans, the new hulk, and the upcoming thor, cap, avengers. every other marvel hero is movie-owned by other studios.

and mark my words, ryan reynolds is gonna abandon deadpool, stay on as producer or some shit, and let someone else play him if GL does well.

Tim Burton's vision of Catwoman was Classic, Michelle killed that performance and till this day I only see her and Ertha Kitt as "Catwoman", Halle damn near destoryed the brand. I trust Nolan but I don't know about this. Heath "Matched" Jack's performance but I don't think they catch lighting in a bottle twice. Also though I'm happy Bane is the villian, I hope they don't mess him up like they did on "Batman and Robin". Overall it looks like downhill for the Batman Franchise, most "PART III" are average and I expect this one to be no different. There has never been a Classic Part III Superhero movie:

Spiderman 3 - horrible

Xman 3- weak

Superman III - weak (But richard pryor was funny)

Batman Forever - average

While it's exciting to know that acclaimed director Christopher Nolan (Inception) is currently gearing up to start work on The Dark Knight Rises, the highly-anticipated sequel to The Dark Knight (TDK), it's also bittersweet since this is most likely the last Batman movie that Nolan will direct. And, if that is the case, it will most likely be the last time Christian Bale suits up in the cape and cowl since Bale has said on several occasions that he's not interested in reprising the role without Nolan at the helm. But, it's not all doom and gloom for the franchise. In a recent interview with Empire, Bale said that he would return in Batman 4 if Nolan also returns, which he does not rule out as a possibility.

All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one. Well, I wouldn't say definitely. If Chris goes, "Hey, I've got another story I think could be interesting," then yeah, great, I'd go do that. I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel any pressure.

Bale also commented on the addition of Tom Hardy to the cast of The Dark Knight Rises as Batman's most dangerous enemy, Bane, the steroid-enhanced genius who famously broke Batman's spine during the "Knightfall" storyline.

[Tom Hardy] seems like he's balls-out, doesn't he? Like he really goes for it. He looked like a guy that was happy to go to extremes, to really push it. Looks like he could go the distance...

Jonathan Nolan, the director's brother, is currently refining the script for The Dark Knight Rises with an (optimistic) eye towards a May production start date. Anne Hathaway was recently added to the cast as Selina Kyle, aka Catwoman, and Morgan Freeman, Sir Michael Caine, and Gary Oldman are all expected to reprise their TDK roles of Lucius Fox, Alfred Pennyworth and Commissioner Gordon, respectively.
