Being an independent isnt any different from being a dem or rep. Yiu just play the fence until you decide to vote. And this argument about what have dems or reps done for the black community is just regurgitated rhetoric. Historically the reps voted in favor of blacks but that was an entirely different party than today, ideology not even comparable. When people ask what have dems done for blacks, today usually is zinged sent to President Obama. He ran on the platform of everyone being included. Fact check this for yourself. He cracked down on big banks and special interest groups, meaning putting a stop to all the extra and hidden fees they charged thst usually hurt blacks. He cracked down on online colleges that charged outrageous costs to reward the graduate a certificate that was worthless in the job market, primarily us. Fought for vets that are active to have bills forgiven until the patriot is home and back in the work force, rejected by congress. GUN CONTROL: not violating your 2nd amendment rights. Rather protecting the people whom are hurt the most, our communities. The weapons he wants to take off the streets are the ones used in inner city crimes where innocent people are killed daily. (Chicago, l.a, Detroit, new orleans.) Raised the minimum wage. Folks whom are salary now will be paid overtime if they work over a 40 hr work week. Medications prices dropped to near nothing now due to regulations against overpriced medications needed to live, mainly our illnesses. Fighting for 2 yr colleges to be free for students that maintain a 2.5 gpa. And gas prices are low. The point is under Democrats the economy does better (different convo).
