I was approached as a solo artist by both Frank Ocean & Tip. I discussed musical direction with each artist and completed my verses. It was after that when Big Boi's name came up.

I never want to mislead our audience - I worried that some would think these were Outkast collaborations. These songs are not Outkast collaborations. I discussed this rationale with Big, Frank and T.I. and everyone agreed. That is why I was surprised to read about these remixes.

Big Boi had an interview here in Atlanta last year and explained why there won't be an outkast album out anytime soon. It was when he was promoting his Sir Luscious Left Foot album.

He simply explained that 3 stacks and Big Boi both have solo deals with different labels and they also have a deal as a group with a third label. The label that they have a deal with together won't allow them to collaborate with each other legally because of the contract oblibgation they have with them.

That caused a conflict between them two and the label. That also caused them not to put out an album with the label.

To make a long story short, it's all politics.

If you listen to the interview Big Boi says that the label didn't allow them to put that song on the album. I dont understand how ppl think that there is a conflict between the two when 3 stacks produced songs on Sir Luscious Left Foot. How can 3 stacks hate Big Boi enough not to rap with him but produce a song for him?

I know that the Jive didnt allow royal flush on the album i said that they dropped it to the radio anyways and if they really wanted to make songs that dont have to use the OUTKAST name and still can make tracks together....but besides that it was Boi that kept Kast going for that long because truth be told Dre was all but out after Atliens, and Dre knows that he aint going to do a kast album, he just need to be honest and say it, it's been 10 years since speakerboxx and that was not a kast album so the last true kast album was 13 years ago with Stankonia

i have to search for the clip on it but after atliens Andre and Boi was so far apart and going different directions, recording seperate during atliens and in different studio's for aquemini and for stankonia, after the album Dre just wanted to do him and really didnt want to promote the album and still to this day he dont want to perform outkast songs, when was the last time outkast did a tour, boi wanted to do tours because it's money but Dre dont want to do tours, but i will find it for you and a article on the situation from people in the camp.

but they grew apart since atliens and they havent been the same since, Dre dont like to do outkast songs, didnt like to tour and all that shit and this is before they stop fucking with their label, the label didnt stop them from touring but it was Dre.

and it's Boi that keeps trying to reach out to Dre but Dre rather do music with other folks, like i said there some shit that going on for years that they kept between themselves, and Dre needs to be real and said as of right now he's done with Kast.........
