hated the character and everything he stood for when Batman and Son first hit the scene.

Now Damian is....ok. When written well. Which isn't happening as frequent as it used to pre DcNU.

His best depictions were in Batman And Robin alongside Dick Grayson. His uptight, visceral arrogance played off well with the more care free Grayson doing his best as Batman. Plus Morrison wrote Batman and Robin with the subtext that Damian and Dick working together was undoing all of that nasty League of Assassins upbringing; that Dick was getting through to Damian and redeeming him.

I been reading and some folks are suggesting Harper Row, Beryl Hutchinson(Squire), the introductions of Cassandra Cain and Steph Brown, or Damian just coming back. If Damian dies Bruce should just shut down having a child Robin altogether. To constantly put young kids in danger like that and having them get murked and you still want a partner? C'mon son.
