Hell Ya, I can't believe Jay dropped the ball on a Double LP like that. I remember when I heard him ruin "Juicy" and "Me and My Girlfriend" I knew it was going to be downhill. Were there bangers? Yes but there were more lackluster songs on it than normal. It's sadly IMO one of Jay's worst LP's:

KanYe's album was dope but Eminem "Relapse" album was mess. 1st I was hype cause Eminem took such a long break so it was good to hear he was finally dropping an album worth of New Material. Then I heard Dre was producing the whole album. You see the problem isn't the production, even on "Encore", Dre did a decent job but it was Eminem with his weak song making that hurt the album. "Relapse" suffered the same fate cause Dre gave Eminem some heat on there but the songs just weren't that good. There were some standout cuts and Em was spitting but I was so hype and the album let me down:

Without a doubt Lasers, Blueprint 3, and MBDTF....my problem with Ye's disappointment with Ye's album was more on him releasing most of the songs that were going to be on the album as GOOD Friday joints....

Tha Carter III.

The only album that ever seemed important in my high school years.

I don't know, "Tha Carter III" didn't really disappoint me cause it what I expected. It was clear Wayne was getting more and more commercial by the year so when "Lollipop" dropped I wasn't surprised. The album had bangers on it though but after "The Carter I and II" which were clearly superior I can see why Die Hard Wayne fans felt this was the album he fell off even though it was the album that made him a pop star. With that said I thought it was wack that he bit the NaS/Biggie album cover thing:

Co-sign except The Massacre kindve grew on me after listening to it recently, still a mediocre album tho

I was so damn disappointed in that album, i would of sworn that shit was gonna be a classic coming off 2001.

couldn't agree with you more..i thought with the long break, Dre lacin the whole album Relapse was about to be a problem..his flow, lyricism & production were top notch but the content wasn't there..i don't think it's horrible like most, it's still got some bangers on there, but definitely a letdown..had the WTF face on the whole album first time i listened to it lol..

@ bolded: i still think it's a little overrated but it's a good album..like i said it's grown on me..
