Up till the WCO, AJ Green wuz the better talent, better prospect and he prolly still is but Julio Jones is a beast in the makin. Them Rams might select him. Bradford-Jones tandem might own the league for a decade if Julio lives up to the hype .

AJ Green is the better prospect but i feel like Julio has a tremendous upside, great skillset, tougher, better physically and is a superior run blocker and can break tackles.

Green is a better deep threat but Julio is much better after the catch. This kid Julio is well built, can withstand tough tackles.....his combination of size, speed, athleticism is awesome.

Julio's big problem is droppin too many passes.

Julio reminds me of Andre Johnson but the latter has better hands and route running.....

Is it a reach to say that Julio is now in AJ Green's level?

Who you got?

Thoughts?

I hate the Falcons but Julio Jones looks like the real deal. Wish him the best of luck except when facing Aqib and the Bucs. Hope he dont go C.J Spiller on us.

Julio has the much better team and QB. Julio will have an elite career if he stays healthy. Both Jones and Green are super talented Green is the best WR I've seen since Moss. He actually can run more routes with less speed. Julio is just a beast. He can do it all.

Never been impressed with AJ Green. He was a good receiver in college, but he's the type that has to be in the right system and situation to flourish. I don't see him going to a train-wreck squad like Cincy and doing damage. Julio is like T.O. in his prime minus the ego. He can go to any team and be a problem instantly... Even if he never touches the football.

I hope A.J. lives up the expectations. They don't have a QB in Cincy and I am hoping he doesn't become Peter Warrick 2.0 who is the best college WR I'd ever seen.

they'll be drafting another QB again next year , i dont see that team winning past 3 games , so they'll be able to get a Andrew Luck,Matt Barkley or Landry Jones

Andy Dalton is gonna look like how jimmy clausen did last year for the panthers

what impressed you about jones? Dude was never really a beast to me, all his highlights are against bums. But i guess that just the system he played in. Green is the real deal tho, he actually put up real stats

Bums? Let's see...

2010:

vs. Auburn (National Champs) 10 catches, 199 yds, 1 td

vs. LSU (Arguably the best defense in the SEC outside of Bama) 10 catches, 89 yds, 1 td

vs. South Carolina (SEC East champs) 8 catches, 118 yds, 1 TD

2009

vs. LSU 4 catches, 102 yards, 1 tds

2008 (true freshman)

vs. LSU 7 catches, 128 yards

vs. Florida 5 catches 124 yards,

vs. Georgia (#1 ranked that year) 5 catches, 94 yards, 1 TD

And let's not forget he played for a run-first team that played in the conference whose defenses are the closest thing to the NFL in college football.

Nice try, doe.

He might as well said Julio Jones was too short, skinny, and light-skin to play receiver in the NFL. lmao

I knew Greenwood was going to come in here and defend his new favorite Falcon player.

But on the real AJ Green >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Julio Jones.

I am not saying that Julio is not good but AJ Green is much better. THat young man is a game changer. Julio is a very good possesion receiver. He will never be a number one receiver in the league. AJ Green has a chance to be a once in a lifetime Randy Moss type WR! At best I see Julio being a reliable number two WR. He will have some nice numbers. He may even be a all star twice in his career. He is Marques Colston in a Falcon jersey. Lets hope he wont be Roy Williams!!!!!!!!!!

If you notice the run-down I posted above of Julio's performances against the SEC's best -- He basically dominated Peterson and LSU from his Senior prom up until draft day. lol

This nigga said Colston. I'm done. lol.

Bet you my 401k that had the Falcons drafted Green instead, people would be talkin' bout how "explosive" Julio is and how Green is just the next Housmenzadeh. lol

Article about the other matchups:

In the two previous matchups, Alabama came out victorious in tight games, but the two stars could each claim one victory apiece individually.
Jones piled up seven catches and 128 receiving yards as a freshman in Baton Rouge when the Tide beat the Tigers 27-21 in overtime. A year later, he had another 102-yard day, but the bulk of that came with Peterson on the sideline.
His worthy competitor had a cramp and was not on the field when Jones took a screen pass 73 yards for the-winning touchdown in the fourth quarter of the 21-15 victory that sealed the SEC West title. All he did was shake a backup taking a poor angle and sprint along the sideline of Bryant-Denny Stadium that vibrated with the noise of 92,000-plus screaming fans.
Asked about the play Monday, Jones shrugged it off as just another in his memory bank, though he did remember the absence of a certain cornerback on that play.
“Yeah, I guess,” he said shrugging his shoulder. “I don’t know. It was just another play. It wasn’t anything I did amazing. Anybody could have just ran.”
A few minutes later, Peterson had his shot to change the game, but referees and replay officials disallowed his interception of Greg McElroy, saying he was out of bounds before securing the pass with about 6 minutes to play. Further inspection of the play appears to reveal Peterson perfectly timed his move, which included stepping in front of Jones and tapping a toe inbounds before stepping on the sideline.
Peterson also broke up three passes and held Jones to 29 receiving yards in a losing effort.
