On the real I thought he played terrible today. I don't care what his stats were. He is too good of a runner to be fumbling like that. And that 1st one was HIS fault not Favre's.

AP needs to holla at Tiki on how to hold the ball and T.Jones on how to build ya forearms up cuz dude's arms aint as big as i thought....he's all power in his legs and chest but his arms(from elbow down) look flimsy...hopefully he gets it together cuz he fucked up as much as favre and put the GAME IN BRETTS HANDS(BIIIIIIIIG MISTAKE) instead of his own cuz 100+yrds and 3tds = a win in 9 out of 10 games.....and this was the 10th game.....

he will always fumble because he runs so hard and break so many tackles and is tall so he runs high. guys come from behind and poke the ball out. he needs to holla at Earl Campbell who ran kinda the same way along with Eddie George.

This is what people done understand. AP fumbles a lot because of the way he runs. He does a lot of twisting with his body and a lot of stiff arms and pushing with his arms. That results in the ball being in vulnerable spots a lot. It would be easy for him to not fumble as much. All he has to do is hold the ball constantly with both arms. The problem is that I can promise if he does that, he will not be as effective a runner. Look at the replay of the fumbles yesterday. It wasn't like he was just dropping the ball because of carelessness or letting the ground knock it out when he was tackled. He just happened to have the ball in odd places and the defenders were able to knock it out.

^^^What kind of excuse is that? AP is suppose to be the best back in football, he can't put the ball on the ground that often. As of right now, he is behind ray rice, c. johnson, and jones-drew, for best backs in the league

High & tight will solve his problem.....

I don't know......5 turnovers and you only win by 3 in overtime at home......they didn't earn it, it was gift wrapped.....Merry Late X-mas...

The 9 penalties for 88 yards evens things out. Especially since 2 of them led to 14 points. Saints D was on the field 20 minutes longer than Minnesota's (not counting OT) and still forced the turnovers in critical moments. Superbowl calibre squads don't turn the ball over 5 times, honestly it should been 8.

he fumbles because he always tries for that extra yard, dude need to take a page from Emmit and learn to preserve his body.

It's not an excuse at all. It's an observation. You have to take the bad with the good. The same things that allow AP to break tackles and get the big runs are also the things that lead to his fumbles. I'm not nor have I ever called him the best back in the league for the simple fact that for all his positives there is one big negative. My only point was that there are ways that AP can secure the ball better and fumble less, but implementing those methods will also likely decrease his effectiveness as a back because he will likely have to give up some of the things that he does that make him so dynamic. As someone mentioned, high and tight, would give him better ball protection, but he wouldn't be throwing those nasty stiff arms that he does now. Without those stiff arms, there are definite breaks that he will not make anymore.
