Voted for the undisputed Queen of Soul. Damn near every person who's wanted to sing in some realm that touches soul (and some that don't) has been influenced by her and that voice that today can still shake a soul just as much as it did when she was 14 years old singing in her daddy's church.
Queen Latifah "Name Callin Part II" (Foxy Brown diss)
Roxanne Shante "Big Mama" (dissing most female emcees, by name, circa 1995)
Lil' Kim "Big Mamma Thang" (original version, Faith Evans and 2Pac diss)
She sounds coked out imo... and honestly, I don't believe a lot of what she says. Foxy has very frequently been known to exaggerate the facts into fiction. I'm shocked that she admitted that Jay wrote that song for her though.
Gaga's a beast. She puts on an epic live show. I love the Born This Way album. Every time I throw a song on from it I end up stuck on it for a hot minute.
Whether you like it or not, this is a modern day classic. The music had massive cultural impact, and most of us know we bumped this at one point or another.
i honestly think it might have been Magic Stick... haha I was in middle school and I just started gravitating towards Kim and then at some point picked up La Bella Mafia, and that was the first rap album i ever bought.
