I STRONGLY have to disagree with you on that. Like I said, 36 Chambers was dope.
BUT
The Chronic, Doggystyle, Tha Dogg Pound's Dogg Food, All Eyez on Me, Makaveli > Better than any album Wu-Tang (group or solo) put out.
Entertainment wise, even Death Row's "Above the Rim" and "Murder Was the...
Enjoyed the first Wu-Tang Project and a few solo projects, but Death Row was a lot better.
I always wonder what Death Row could have accomplished if they left all the street shit/beef alone (and just focused on business) or if Dre & Suge remained cool.
Enjoyed a few tracks. Cole/Kendrick feature was OK. Would have been better if Kendrick spit some bars, instead of doing ad libs. Surprised he didn't, especially with Cole on the track. Kendrick's features was better on the new NERD album (2 songs) that was dropped Friday.
But overall album was...
6.5 / 10
A little better than I thought it was going to be. I appreciate the effort of the political messages on the album.
OK ... meh songs: Believe, Chloraseptic, Untouchable, Framed, Offended, Castle. I really didn't care for the rest.
Nothing I"ll go back to.
MJ was popular, but "Off the Wall" was his major breakout album with the help of Quincy Jones.
Prince is a legend too, but those albums didn't have the same impact as the few albums MJ dropped starting with Off The Wall. Mike had people fainting and crying at concerts and got mobbed everywhere...
Although I enjoy hearing new stuff from my favorite artists, I don't think it's necessary for someone to come out with an album every year. Sometimes it can be overkill like Game and Snoop.
If someone makes a classic album, it's going to stand the test of time and keep people satisfied for a...
Can't judge a book by its cover or "tracklist." Kendrick's album cover for DAMN. looked like a cheap No Limit design from 1998. LOL. And the U2 feature had me scratching my head. But the album was dope.
But I have a feeling this is going to be wack. I haven't been impressed with Eminem for many...
I never got into Dipset or JR's music, but this is ALBUM COVER OF THE YEAR
I just wish J.Cole, Kendrick, Joey Bada$$, Jay-Z, Rapsody or ScHoolboy Q did it. The social impact would have been 10x bigger. LMAO !!! But a lot of the people I mentioned are cool with the ones illustrated on the cover.
I agree.
I was in middle school & high school when Biggie, 2Pac, Jay-Z, The Roc, Nas, Bad Boy, DMX, Ruff Ryders, Death Row, Snoop, Dre, Outkast was HUGE !!! The music (along with other artists) was the soundtrack of my teens (hanging out with friends, house parties, getting pulled over by the...
