Luke wasn't really training using the Force until Empire though.That's when Yoda appeared. After Luke left he didn't come back until ROTJ when Yoda was about to die,in the movies. So whatever skill he picked up he did it by practicing and fighting in the rebellion And no it may have been as little as 6 months to a yr in between Empire and ROTJ I'm talking strictly in the movies.- loch121
